INC Guidelines for Establishment
The Indian Nursing Council sets forth detailed guidelines for establishing a B.Sc. Nursing college. This includes requirements for a 100-bedded parent hospital, obtaining an Essentiality Certificate from the State Government, and strict mandates on physical facilities (teaching/hostel blocks) and staffing patterns to ensure an elite standard of education.

Mandatory & Elective Modules

Examination Scheme
Assessment is conducted through a combination of internal assessments and end-semester university examinations. The minimum pass mark for nursing courses is 50% (C Grade).
Key Examination Regulations
- A candidate must pass in theory and practical exams separately for each paper.
- All previous examinations must be cleared before appearing for the fifth-semester examination, and again before the seventh semester.
- The maximum period to complete the course successfully is 8 years.
- Practical examinations are conducted jointly by one internal and one external examiner.
