Clinical training

Practical clinical exposure is provided through affiliations with Surya Super Speciality Hospital and other designated government and private healthcare facilities.

Field visits and community experience

Community work is part of every course. In the ANM curriculum, for example, first-year students spend 680 hours in community experience, including community assessment, village mapping and home visits.

Extracurricular activities

Students take part in community service programs, including Red Cross Society initiatives, as well as indoor and outdoor sports and recreation.

Seminars and workshops

The college auditorium is a high-capacity venue used for academic seminars, workshops, and institutional gatherings.

Anti-ragging

Ragging in any form is a punishable offence and is not tolerated at the college.

Each course prepares students for a different set of roles in healthcare:

  • ANM (Auxiliary Nurse & Midwife): Community Health Workers, Home Nurses
  • GNM (General Nursing Midwifery): Staff Nurses, ICU Nurses, Ward-in-Charge
  • B.Sc Nursing (Basic): Nurse Educators, Clinical Specialists, Administrators

    Recognized and approved by the statutory body of the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi, under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

  • Jharkhand Nurses Registration Council

    Approved by the Jharkhand Nurses Registration Council (JNRC), Ranchi, for state-level clinical practice and registration.

  • Sido Kanhu Murmu University

    Affiliated with Sido Kanhu Murmu University (SKMU), Dumka, serving as the degree-awarding university for collegiate programs.
